    Tissot history in brief

    Founded
    1853
    Headquarters
    Le Locle, Switzerland

Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son founded the company in Le Locle in 1853. Tissot made some of the first pocket watches for the Russian market and produced an early antimagnetic watch in 1930. Now part of the Swatch Group, Tissot sells millions of watches a year and benefits from shared movement production at ETA. The PRX, a 1978-inspired integrated-bracelet design relaunched in 2021, became one of the most popular watches of the decade.
