Editorial Policy

    These are the standards behind every release page and guide on DialDrops. They exist so readers can judge how our information is gathered and where our money comes from.

    Sourcing

    Every release entry starts from a primary source: a brand press release, an official product page, or a specification sheet supplied to authorised dealers. Where we rely on a dealer or retailer for a date or price, we say so on the page. We do not publish rumours as fact, and unconfirmed information is labelled as unconfirmed or left out entirely.

    Verification

    Release dates, reference numbers and recommended retail prices are re-checked against the brand's own listings on a daily cycle. When a brand changes a date or price, we update the affected release page and the calendar the same day. Prices are shown as manufacturer's suggested retail in US dollars unless stated otherwise; regional pricing and taxes will differ.

    How hype ratings are decided

    Hype ratings from 1 to 5 are assigned by our editors using consistent criteria: production volume relative to expected demand, historical significance of the reference, secondary market activity for comparable models, and community interest across forums and social platforms. Ratings are editorial judgements, not predictions of price, and no brand, dealer or advertiser can influence them.

    Corrections

    We correct errors as soon as they are confirmed. Substantive corrections to an article — anything that changes a recommendation, a price or a factual claim — are noted on the page. If you find something wrong, email contact@dialdrops.online and we will review it.

    Advertising and affiliate disclosure

    DialDrops is free to read and funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Some outbound links to marketplaces including Chrono24 and WatchBox may pay us a commission on a completed sale, at no additional cost to you. Advertisers have no input into editorial coverage, guide recommendations or hype ratings, and we do not accept payment to include or exclude a release.

    Use of AI

    Research tools may assist with data collection and formatting, but every article and release page is written, reviewed and fact-checked by a human editor before publication. We do not publish unedited machine-generated content.

    What we do not do

    We do not sell watches, authenticate watches, appraise watches or broker transactions. We do not provide investment advice — commentary about value retention is editorial opinion and should not be treated as a financial recommendation. We are not affiliated with any watch brand.
